This questionnaire measures the food frequency of a selected list of German foods with standardized portion sizes during the last 12 months. Additional questions about physical activity are used to calculate physial activity levels (PAL). After completion, foods and PAL data are used to calculate food intake for food groups and compared to recommended food intake specific for the individual's age, gender and PAL using a food pyramid.
A common Food Propensity Questionnaire for five European countries (Estonia, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain) in seven languages (Basque, English, Estonian, German, Italian, Norwegian and Spanish), developed and validated under the auspices of the IDAMES project.

The Greek Food Propensity Questionnaire, based on the European Food Propensity Questionnaire (EFPQ) of the IDAMES project. The questionnaire was developed by the department of Epidemiology in cooperation with the WHO Collaborating Center for Food and Nutrition Policies, Department of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Medical Statistics, University of Athens Medical School (Androniki Naska) and the Hellenic Health Foundation (HHF) (Antonia Trichopoulou).
